Education Quality and Policy Office

“The principal aim of the Admissions Policy of the Colleges of the University of Cambridge is to offer admission to students of the highest intellectual potential, irrespective of social, racial, religious and financial considerations.”*

The University Council and Colleges’ Committee have established a Strategic Review of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach, to incorporate the full admissions lifecycle from outreach to matriculation. The Collegiate University needs to ensure that its infrastructure for admissions and outreach is effective, efficient and transparent.  The Review will:

  1. set out clear objectives for undergraduate admissions and outreach;
  2. evaluate whether current systems are appropriate and effective; and
  3. develop an overarching admissions and outreach framework that is able to respond flexibly to changing requirements, whether internal or external.
