With the increase of recordings of teaching and learning materials and growth of the lecture capture service, the University has introduced a Policy governing the creation, usage and management of these materials.

This policy was introduced with effect from Monday, 5 October 2020; recordings made prior to this date will be managed by previous policies. The Policy was updated on 2 July 2021 to version 1.2, with minor changes for clarificaton as outlined on the coversheet.
To support the policy, we have also introduced the following guidance materials:
- Student information sheet
- Lecturer information sheet
- Template statements for students; to assist lecturers in notifying students that recordings will be made
- Template consent forms for:
- lecturers
- students
- external staff
- FAQs
- Expectation to record lectures in 2022-23, issued by the General Board's Education Committee 8 July 2022
- Guidance on re-use of material from 2020-21
