Education Quality and Policy Office

The Education Quality and Policy Office has a key role in reviewing and monitoring the educational provision offered by the University.  The team provides a range of support for Faculties, Departments and Schools, acting as a focal point for all aspects of educational enhancement and delivery.

EQPO team members are responsible for:

  • managing and facilitating regular quality assurance reviews and monitoring the quality of taught provision;
  • advising on new course approvals and modifications to existing courses;
  • assisting departments in navigating governance structures related to education; and
  • supporting the development of quality assurance mechanisms across the University.

In addition, team members work on University-wide projects situated in the quality and policy areas. Currently we're working on academic integrity, part-time courses, and student engagement. EQPO supports a number of Committees that carry out governance in relation to education.

Members of the team work closely with colleagues across Education Services, and with the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education, to carry out collaborative projects affecting all areas of the educational experience: for example, delivery and support for examination procedures, and development of a curriculum database.
